    I only order things like a pizza when we're having a blizzard. ;)

    Ever increasing traffic and lack of parking at the fewer markets. Also more time spent supporting the kids, instead of them going out to play with have parents spending their day off from work watching them play in organized events. And thus that money spent to hire someone to deliver food is worth less than the time needed to go on your on. The same trade off made when we started buying food from others instead of hunting and farming our own.

    I would guess that Taco Bell would have to offer an incentive to the Grubhub driver to brand their car for a single run. It would be the delivery equivalent of the car which has Uber and Lyft decals for their so called ride share but actually a taxi service.

    Oh, that would be great.

    Three tacos, a medium soda. Total cost: $4.95
    Delivery: Total cost, $15.00
    Tip, 15%: Total cost, $3.00

    Total bill for terrible, low cost food: $22.95

    Sounds like a bargain.:confused::rolleyes:

    Oops, that's right. I forgot about soccer moms and commuter traffic.:D

    "Parking at fewer markets"? Dang, it must be getting tough going in the concrete jungle these days.;)

    I don't think of restaurant delivery and grocery delivery in the same way at all. The former I use, the latter I do not. Apples and oranges to me.

    Fast food does not pair well with tonight's selected vintage.

    The first time my daughter got dinged for a wrong order and did not get paid her delivery fee (plus the guy who checked the order when it arrived and saw it was wrong did not leave a tip) she called the home office and complained. They told her it was her responsibility to check the order when she picked it up to make sure she got the right things. So from then on she would check to make sure the celery, carrots and ranch dipping sauce accompanied the wings to make sure the order was correct. But when the restaurant makes a mistake and either makes the order wrong or puts the wrong name on the order there was no way for her to make sure it was right from the beginning. She still got no delivery pay and usually no tip.

    DoorDash still $23 of my money from 2 orders they cancelled on Friday. What a scam. They can bill you instantly, but 5 days later and still no refund. I am going to call Visa and ask them to remove the charges.

    I'm giving it another go, my pay on my last job wasn't processed and my mortgage cleaned my account out on the 1st. My solution to being penniless until my pay gets sorted was to order groceries on ebay today and pay with paypal.

    It's my first time doing it this way, should be interesting to see how it goes. I now have to wait a couple days for the groceries to arrive so i'll be eating the neglected stuff in the bottom of the freezer until my new food arrives. It's not ideal, the store is walking distance but they wont take paypal and I cant use my credit card there as I don't know what the security number is for it, i've only ever used it online.

    I remember back in the good ol days you could write a check on Thursday and know it would not go through until Monday.So when you deposited Fridays paycheck it would clear.Now everything is like instant.
