What a HOOT!

Ya think Gram might have copped a few Mick moves?

Thanks for sharing this!

"Burritos, huh? That reminds me, I'm hungry!"

Cheers, Tim

Wow, talk about a dated piece of video

Pretty hard watching that without cringing.
Music was nice, however.

I loved it! Particularly Bernie Leadon and Chris Hillman popping their heads out of the hatch for the "Ooooooh"s on the choruses.

And don't they all look so YOUNG!

RIGHT ON!

Hey, hey! That's the way that's done!

Very cool clip. Good to see Chris Hillman 'play' that bass too (I love the Burritos but have always been disappointed that Hillman didn't play the bass on that first album - or the second for that matter: wasn't Chris Etheridge still around for Burrito Deluxe? Not to knock him, a fine player...I'm just a big fan of Hillman's Bass style).

Beautiful North Georgia!
Go Bernie Go!

Man, that is some VINTAGE video!

I had to freeze it a couple of times to verify the thickness of that Tele...looks like one of those early Parsons Benders like Clarence's.
Bernie's lead ROCKS!

How about Gram with the BLONDE HIGHLIGHTS... ???
What a trend setter!

Thanks for the link!!!

Chris played on "Burrito Deluxe"! One of my alltime favorite bassists, too.

Thanks!

Prime stuff, regardless of the camp factor. These guys get so frozen in time that you forget they were moving, breathing performers. Gram certainly looks better in this clip than he does on the Together Again... tape. Here he's young, on the other he seems to be doing his best Elvis-at-the-end impression.

Thanks again for the clip

Great stuff...

I was under the impression that other than a few seconds of "Six Days on the Road" from the Gimmie Shelter movie of Altamont, and the B&W footage from Texas they used in the Together Again video, that there was no footage of Gram Available. Does anybody know where this film came from?

YOU'RE RIGHT! I thought I recognized him. That's John Biner who had a variety comedy show way back when called 'Bizarre' (recently compiled and released on DVD).

I think the timeframe for Bizarre would've been early-mid '80s but that may well be only when I first noticed it. Maybe that's an old Bizarre clip. If so, I have some DVD hunting to do.

I can't recall reading about that clip in 'Hickory Wind'.

At times when Gram Parsons really gets into an expressive line and he opens his mouth and sings----he looks a little like Jim Nabors!!!

Is that rock icon heresy???

It's John Byner. Bizarre ran in the early 80s for several seasons. It introduced Super Dave to the world. That clip pre-dates Bizarre by many years.

Ah. Wonder what show that was from, then. :?:

Not sure about finding tab, but I can tell you what to look for: "Older Guys" from the Burrito Deluxe album.

Cheers, Tim
