I met a guy v recently via another guitar contact of mine for some beers and a chat as he thought we’d get on based on our music lives.

Turns out he grew up as a long standing family and musical friend of Peter Green (and many other big names) as the son of someone who worked professionally with Peter before and through the PG Fleetwood Mac years and thereafter as solo and his other bands. He still sees Peter occasionally.

I was v impressed as I adore PG’s playing and loved his family stories and insight. He invited me to his own studio and he showed me and let me play a Strat that Peter had given to him because it was the one he liked most when jamming with Peter. Generous chap, PG, as we know.

Sorry no further details or pics or proof - it is private to him and he is a shy guy. It was just a thrill for me to play Peter’s old guitar and listen to the stories and details behind some of the well known facts and especially things that are well known but not true.

Will no doubt be an excellent show.
AFL - the pop-up everywhere guest artist?
(Mind you, I love his playing too, bet he does a take on The Stumble?)

peter greens LP has been around alot too :) the guitar itself has a life of its own. Kirk Hammett owns it now. worth what about 2million? it wasnt disclosed what he paid for it but I sure he just took it out a large bag in the trunk of his auto.

imagine being such a great musician you left your soul to a guitar..
