I can't be the only one who finds it a shame that the Bob Welch era of the band is always overlooked

This song in particular sit directly in between what Fleetwood Mac were with Peter Green and what they would become with Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. But has a very strong echo of songs like "Albatross"

All good stuff above ^^^ Thanks!

Danny Kirwan is my new ( past 3-4 years catching up with early Fleetwood Mac)
hero- very creative player, all kinds of styles- cool voice too!

I always liked the Fleetwood Mac/Bob Welch song "Angel" and enjoy the Johnathan Wilson version even more, plus theres some good tele action with him.

Future Games and Bare Trees are still among my very favorite albums. An odd thing
I picked up recent from a John Mayall liner notes is that Danny was a short time member of
the Bluesbreakers but decided to go with Fleetwood Mac.

Yeah, this, the version I call I call Fleetwood 2*, is vastly overlooked!

    * 1 and 3 being Green and Buckingham Nicks and co, respectively

Danny Kirwan is an unsung hero in the history of FM. Great musician & songwriter.

I have seen the light on Danny Kirwan!
I knew about his talent from ' Then Play On' LP
Then just a few years ago, a buddy of mine gave me a 5-disc Fleetwood Mac set, and Kiln House ( "Station Man" wow!) and Bare Trees are just so good and creative!

(Note: many folks seem to love Future Games, and Mystery to Me than I do, but I'm working on it!)

Had never heard this stuff- you can here these guys just exploring what they can do with music.
Danny ( in his own way) is similar to Jimmy Page - layering guitars, crafting guitar sounds, hooks. Brilliant, IMO.

Post Green, pre Goat Woman FM is just as great as the Green era of the band IMO, and I never cared for the spinning fairy lady, or her ex-lover guitar player. The best thing she ever did was with Tom, and only because of Tom and Co.
Kiln House (Station Man, Tell Me All the Things You Do), Future Games, Bare Trees, and Mystery to me are all superb albums IMO.
Listen to Danny's smoking and tasty fills and solos on this great Christine song from Future Games. At least I think it's Danny. If it's Bob, then my deepest apologies to him.
