    Yeah it’s unfortunate. Lindsey is an amazing artist and guitarist, always been a fan.

    Lost interest when Stevie Nicks stopped being hot. Yeah decades ago....

    This is actually kind of humorous as they are well past their prime anyway. At this point, it's almost as newsworthy as Bad Company firing Mick Ralphs.

    Yes THAT Neil Finn who is more than competent in playing, writing and singing. I think he will make a valuable addition to the band.
    Also, according to Forbes, he doesn't need the money with $15 million so money would not be his motivation- nor the band's.
    He is a semi- god Downunder. I'm sure he has his reasons for being in that band possibly including new material. He is a genius at great song writing.
    Fleetwood Mac have chosen well in both additions.

    Stevie Nicks, according to people who have had to work for FM, food, greenroom etc. is NOT a nice person.
    She toured here recently with Chrissie Hynde and everyone agreed who was the better performer, nice person all round and who put on a better show with her Telecasters. No question.
    P.S. Stevie Nicks is one fat old girl with not much left in her voice.IMHO

    Well since the only constant in F.M. has been Mick Fleetwood and John McVie send Stevie Nicks packing as well and have some one else replace her and start a completely new version with new material. I know that really wouldn't happen because most Mac acolytes must hear "the hits" for 100th time.

    I always liked Buckingham's solo stuff. He should move on. Though all very talented, they are pretty much just a tired cover band now. I rather see Mike Campbell move on to better things, though he'd probably be a good fit. I was never much for Crowded House. I can't really see the fit there..

    Who cares. They haven't done anything important since "Tusk". Same with Eagles haven't done anything since "The Long Run" although "Edens" got some nice songs. The last 30+ years have been for the money. Both are good oldies bands. I would rather see the Kiln House line-up.

    Buckingham is a dick, but he IS F Mac. So they can do what they want, just because they use the name doesn't mean they are anything other than guys doing covers.

    Devil's advocate question, what's wrong with it being for the money?

    He IS F Mac to you.

    Ultimately F Mac is Mick and John.

    And, they've always used the name (for 7-8 years before Lindsey for instance).

    Through 8 guitarists...(if my count is right), and a whole bunch of songwriters.

    If I'm not mistaken, Mick is sole owner of "the franchise," so Fleetwood Mac is whatever he says it is.

    Not super surprising because IIRC Stevie Nicks wanted to join The Heartbreakers back in the day. I always thought Lyndsey Buckingham was a fantastic guitar player.

    Fleetwood = Mick Fleetwood
    Mac = John McVie

    IMO - I admire the fact that they have never allowed an EGO to control their legacy. That rhythm section is far too often under appreciated... and people do need to understand that it is, has been, and always will be "their" band!

    After reading a couple articles it appears the spat involves the direction of the tour. It looks like everybody wanted to reach deeper into the catalog (eg: Peter Green and Bob Welsh era) and Lindsay didn't. Finn and Campbell will do a fabulous job.
