I have some, they are Ernie Ball. I got them because the bend readily without being stiff. The metal end jacks are very flat, but that is highly over rated feature IMHO. (you can only put pedals so close together before the buttons are too close anyway). They were a bit too much money IMO. Now there are tons of makers out there though.
Well, yes, I love my EBS cables - I’m not sure I can tell any difference in sound quality between the black and gold ones but, whichever, they’re just so much easier to work with than the usual chunky cables (unless you’re just using a few chunky pedals on the floor)
They're useful if you've got pedals with in/outputs on the side of the housing and you are tight for space on a board. I have some on my pedalboard and they're fine.
Made myself an S-shaped patch this evening, wondered why I'd never seen one advertised, went looking online and (esp. with the help of TDPRI) found that they exist--including in flat--and so now I'm ... uhh ... wondering how I never managed to see one advertised. user error as usual
Never bothered with them until I needed some patch cables, and the only ones on sale (therefore, the only ones I’m interested in) were the Ernie Ball flats. Now, I am waiting for another sale, because I like them better than my old cables.
As long as the cable bends tightly without stiffness, the jacks are the most restrictive part to getting pedals close together anyway, so "MEH"! And pedals too close together are difficult to use anyway.
