Some Flanger settings for you:
I take it this is with a Boss Flanger?
Hey, that's great!
It took me forever to stumble across all of those settings just by chance (!).
I have an original MXR M117.
... but my Flanger has more knobs ...
I don't have a flanger yet, but it's coming one day.
I saved the above jpegs for future reference.
I use the mooer elec lady (sounds great, tiny, cheap, love it) and I like to use flanger as more of a chorus, with a pretty high rate and low depth/regen, as opposed to the airplane taking off sound commonly associated with flange effects. I also run it before dirt.
Yes, Boss BF-2, but most Flangers have the same controls.
Sometimes they have different names.
Speed = Rate (speed of the oscillation)
Width = Range = Depth (intensity of effect)
Regen = Res = Feedback (controls how much of the processed signal is re-injected into the effect to get a more intense result)
Manual (usually with longer delay times to the left and shorter to the right)
These are great. I've started using a flanger for leslie-type effects and really like it. I always thought flanger was just for that Van Halen '80s rock sound, until I heard the way Neil Young uses a Boss flanger on Weld for a very fast leslie sound.
