Is it likely to be a heavy instrument when completed? I don't know much about wood weight's? Hope this wasn't a dumb question.

I think it will be beautiful.

Since it is a Thinline, and hollowed out on both sides, it won’t be too bad.
I weighed the guitar, & all of the parts, this evening.

Came in at 7.5lbs.

Had a rain day today. Couldn’t do trusses on a garage addition, I’m working on.

Refined the neck profile with the Shinto saw/rasp, & sandpaper.

Measured, first (0.87), & 12th (0.92), frets, just slightly larger than Modern C.

My son decided on an oil finish.

After 2, very light coats, rubbed in with finger.

Fresh of number 4.

The oil finish, really made the flamed maple binding Pop!

My son said it looks like an antique piece of furniture.

Now some pics outside.

I mis-read the title with "Cherrywurst" and immediately though - interesting!

Nice build! One thing with copper & brass markers I found, they quickly oxidize and become less readable

Sorry i didn't express it right, i mean did you bought the CAD file for the neck or did you make it using a CAD program?
I bought the file from 3DCNCGUITARS guitars.

Was my first try cutting the neck out on the CNC.

A bit thicker results than I wanted, so ended up rasping & sanding finish profile by hand.
