ok I Found a chambered maple top looks like violin burst headstock says Mexico and the SN says 2004-2005 and the neck plate is rectangular (meaning not to be mistaken for the 2012 USA tele select violin burst. The cap Looks to be flame maple the body looks to be mahogany and the neck looks to be nitro finished Any Ides if the body is legit?

Holy cow! Who cares if it's legit?! Buy that thing, put your favorite pickups and pickguard on it, and play the hell out of it! That's gorgeous!

I keep digging it looks like it may be a warmoth body but I can't disassemble to be sure unless I buy... It's a pawn shop guitar I offered $350 expecting to have to run all new electrics... I should hear in the next couple days if the owner'll take the offer.

    Yeah it is damn pretty...

hmmm some pickup screws, a 3 bbl bridge and some unknown wiring, I'd go for it too :)

the finish on the body looks pretty amateur... but that is just a gorgeous guitar. I've never seen something that nice from Mexico... so i really doubt it's fender. i second the warmoth vote. and if they didn't do it, I'd love to know who did... it's stunning

and in case you do snag that for 350, let me say in advance that you're a lucky pos!!

The weight for one and a tap test around the body there is some resonance you don't get from solid body kinda like looking for a stud in a wall. I hope they take it but actual asking is $430 so still not too much of a hit. But that is a lot of coin for a "could be" anything. I might just end up with a very expensive mex neck... this was clearly somebody's b***ch... could be a fun project.

I've sold far less attractive custom tele bodies on reverb for $300. i don't think there's much (any) risk at 430... and 350 is a great deal if you get it. i don't normally like quilt tops... but that figuring and color have me reconsidering my ways!

Yeah, I really wish there was a better vintage bridge conversion option. I hate that style of bridge. But for what it is it could be a lot better with a little work.
