I scored some gold sparkle grill cloth cheap from KLD on Reverb so thought I'd have a go at redoing my PR. What a pain! By the time I'd wrestled with it, stapled it on off on off on again it felt like I'd done a couple of rounds with Chuck Norris.
Different, but my internal jury is withholding judgement. It's a bit more gold than it looks in the pictures.

Looks pretty good and that gold is actually pretty close to many BF aged ones which became gold over time.!

Nice work! I've redone grille cloth on a couple Marshall cabs and it it's always way harder than it seems like it should be. I agree with the others; that gold weave cloth looks very close to the way the originals aged. I don't think it looks out of place at all.

I finally bought an electric stapler to take some of the chore out of installing. More than once I thought I had finished, and installed the baffle, only to see a little bobble in the lines!

Holy poo, how did you get that so straight and even?

Nice job. I know you are asking about the color, but it looks find in the shots you provided.

Nice work, that amp looks great. I admit I saw the thread title and initially clicked on it out of curiosity, thinking “how perverse!” and wanting to see a Princeton re-imagined as a View attachment 1409331

Oh, yeah... decades ago the magic smoke escaped from mine. I noted that the dimensions were perfect for picking it up by the handle and putting it directly into a medium-sized trash basket.
