I want to change the tuners on my mini strat. Quality wins over budjet.

If you're trying to fix tuning issues on a mini scale instrument, you may not be able to completely remedy that due to the scale length of that instrument. But yes, you could probably put quality tuners on that instrument.

I'm interested to know why you want to upgrade them? I'm not suggesting it's wrong, I'm just curious. My two top makes are Schaller and Gotoh, and I would be looking at ones whose hole diameters and screw hole locations match the existing ones.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing ever since buying one of those Strats for my son, and found a number of forums where folks said they used the Grover 133N6 set (will require new holes for the mounting screws). Stock tuners on those mini Strats are absolutely terrible.
