I haven't made a guitar gear purchase of any kind in... three or four years? And the last actual guitar that I bought was about 7 years ago.

But then I saw this yesterday. Maybe you've seen it already. Maybe it's been talked about around here. But I missed all of that. And when I saw this, my jaw dropped. I - must - own - this - guitar. I've been a huge Nuno fan since the 80s, and I have tried to get my hands on an N4 for a long time, but never found the right one at the right price. This would be way better than an N4 in my book.

Of course, I have no money right now... so there's that.

Very cool. There was mention of this guitar sometime during the last year...I remember looking it up for the specs. I do not remember the one I looked up as having the finish in your photos, though---a real looker!

I love a raw looking guitar... I love the look of bare ash. The only thing I would do with the Nele would be to make the end of the fingerboard edges rounded off, like a Telecaster... rather than squared like they are in the pictures.

That's hot. The 6-way switch is fascinating.

If you haven't seen it, you'll really enjoy the demo video.

I’d play that. I totally get your GAS attack. That thing is super sweet looking.

That 6-way switch is interesting. What is the fretboard radius? I have an old Washburn Idol with a 16” radius iirc and it is a little flat for me.
    Edit: 14” radius.

That IS a very cool guitar. Really interesting neck joint.

I totally agree on the square fretboard shape being a bit odd though.

    Yikes at the price though.

I could see that being an issue. I haven't seen that spec printed anywhere online yet.

The store where I worked was a Washburn dealer, and they've been very successful for them, but I really dislike the reverse headstock on all of them.
