Hello all,

I just finished my first Telecaster project and I am really happy how it turned out !

I custom ordered a body from Guitar Mill and took a Get it now neck that fitted my specs (tall and narrow frets, small compound radius and C profile).

The pickups are Mojo's Gold Foil and 52 bridge. Most of the parts are either Fender's or Gotoh's.

Since some of the earlier Thinlines were made of mahogany, I decided to go that way for my first partscaster project.

I had this idea a while back, but was a bit afraid to do it. The worst part was hammering those back ferrules, even though I was careful !

Best wishes,

Looks fantastic! Need a report on how it sounds.
Those ferrules are scary. I have a few that need another tap on one of my projects.

Nice job! I'm hoping to be fitting ferrules myself tomorrow night. Last time it was on my avatar Tele and I added an extra dent to the front when I tapped the ferrules in. Lucky it was an aged finish, but I'd better be more careful tomorrow.

What is the neck pickup in yours, as in; what type of pick up is it, single coil or humbucker?

Thank you for the nice comments !

To answer the questions:

The Gold foil is a single coil design.

As for the sound, it is rather unique. On my first-based analysis, I would say it is balanced in the fact that it has quite a lot of bass and treble, yet not a lot of mids. It has a very straight and punchy attack. It is very lively and dynamic as a clean pickup. I have not yet tried it with more gain.

It is not very noisy.

I hope it helps !
