I tried searching tdpri but I seem to lack the 'puter skills to do so effectively, so apologies in advance

I want to start using the volume pedal built into my wah pedal

the active range seems so narrow as to be useless with the coarse kinesthetic control of my foot

what sort of pot would be best to use as a replacement for effective volume management throughout the full range of pedal travel?

I'll also do a google youtube search but I've a lot of faith in the techies here.

    thanks

The pot used in a wah is a very specific unit that's designed for heavy use. If you stick a standard pot in there and the volume sounds great, it won't last--and it probably won't work very well in wah mode. This is why you see two pedals on most pro boards--a wah and a volume. Sometimes there's a third pedal for dynamic expression control of an effect.

You would probably get more answers if you specified what pedal you have.
