Playing 4 sets at Dollywood. Wish me luck!
why did you turn your amp to the wall ?
have fun !
Good luck! Should be great to play out.
We've done several outdoor gigs at a local brewery and a couple vinyards with outdoor stages that have gone well. It's a different sound situation than inside, of course, so we pay an experienced friend to run sound and help with the extra equipment.
Great news. Enjoy.
I saw Roy Buchanan turn his amp backwards so I tried it and found out I can drive the amp a little harder with no negative volume results lol. Set one is done. Now for set 2 3 and 4!
Sets 1 and 2 are done. 3 and 4 to come!
It's a wallpaper gig.
I do that with some cabs, changes the tone, smooths it out. You need some opening in the back though
It's an open back amp. Whew! One more set and I'm done for the day
I know, seen it.
Finally done and back home! Great gig, good folks, excellent pay, annnnnnnd...an invitation to come audition for a full time gig! Thanks for letting me rave about my gig today guys! I'm so happy to be playing again!
Great to hear. That is not to far from me.
One more amp question- are you micing only the back of the speaker? If so, how does it sound?
Looks like a great gig! So happy to see live music happening anywhere!
It gets somewhere between the magnet and the paper of the speaker from the back. It sounds great! Kind smooths out the tone
Gig? What's a gig?? Its been sooooo long now that I can't remember what a stage looks like...
Only thing I wish I wouldve had for the gig today was my old steel. It wouldve been perfect. But it was still awesome nonetheless
It's been a bad boy!
