I forgot to mention that the build is about a telepaul-style guitar.

Nice looking work Nick!

I built from a variety of flat, quarter, riff & have yet to have someone play them and say, "woe, that quarter/flat/riff sounds amazing!"😉 I have only had a few necks twist of all I've made & that was almost immediately after the shape was cut when I would surmise some grain tension released from unique grain patterns.

Thanks for the input, i feel very lucky to have that big log of wood that can give some quarter sawn guitar and bass necks.

I cut a quarter sawn piece of wood and after some passes from the planner I get a nice and square log.
