Scrapers, planes, orbital sander and a lamp to help me see the imperfections.
Coming along nicely.

Robert here are some pics of the dust shoe.
For swallow cuts there is no interference but things are not good if lets say you want to cut a whole guitar body.
I have seen some people use a system of tracks to have the dust shoe move freely. This is one of the future upgrades i want to do.

Well done. Are you going o be cutting the neck on the CNC? Are you going to make the tenon a hair smaller so it fits in?
I will try to cut the neck on the cnc , although for me it is tricky to machine an angled guitar neck on a cnc ,even I don't know if i will make it to the end, I am sure I am going to learn a lot. I follow Austin Shaner on YouTube and Facebook, the guy seems to know what he is doing with fusion360 and cncing.

That's a good input to make the tenon a hair smaller to fit in, I have to say there are so many things in my head right now about the procedure that I haven't think of that at the time.

On my LP necks I use the truss rod slot as my centerline. I cut the tenon and neck up to the peghead transition. The tenon top has the angle. I do the peghead flat on the table as a separate file. I'd make your tenon a hair bigger and hand fit it like they do at Gibson unless your router's accuracy is that good...:).

I wonder why this thread is not a sticky one yet.
