First Build: Sufr Greet Tele and Gilmourish Jazzmaster

Should I go reverse neck on the tele?

    Hello everybody! I've been inspired for all of you builder in the forum but just recently started building from scratch and wanted to share the process with you, I'm naming my guitars Velazco in honor to my grandpa. This is what i'm planning to build:

    Velazco T:
    Specs:

    Body: 2 Piece Cedar (Cedro Puertoasís)
    Neck and fingerboard: Zapan
    Hardware: Wilkinson bridge and tuners
    Electronics: Dimarzio Twang king and Chopper T; 4 Way Switch.
    Jescar Stainless steel jumbo frets
    9.5" Radius

    Velazco JM:
    Specs:

    Body: 2 Piece Cedar (Cedro Puertoasís)
    Neck and fingerboard: Teca
    Hardware: Wilkinson bridge and tuners
    Electronics: Fender 65' Jazzmaster pickups; Standard Jm wiring
    Jescar Stainless steel jumbo frets
    9.5" Radius


    This week I cut the templates and glued the pieces for the body blanks.

    Then I proceeded to cut the bodies and necks.

    I look forward to see how these turn out. I voted no for the reverse headstock on the tele because I only prefer reverse headstocks on something like a telebird. :)

    The specs look good and I like the Wilkinson bridges, I have used a few on my partscasters. Can't go wrong with jumbo frets and 9.5 radius. I also really like the chopper t and twang king pickups.

    I've had a lot of work these days but have managed to avance a lot in the build!
    I routed the cavities, sanded and sealed the bodies. Here two of the builds and two of my guitars waiting for refinish

    I build a truss rod channeling jig and added the truss rod

    Also I glued the fretboards and made an easy binding jig for the neck. Also slotted the fretboard.

    In the pictures you can see 2 teles and 1 JM cause a friend asked me to build one for him too.


    PD: I decided to go reverse headstock on the T model, sorry! xd
