I thought of posting this in the "Music To Your Ears" thread, but I didn't think anyone would take me seriously. But I am. Here's the deal:

I played (acoustic) guitar at my family's for Thanksgiving, and they want me to do an encore performance at Christmas. I'm throwing together some songs -- especially songs kids can sing along to -- but want to go a little deeper just for personal satisfaction. I have already done a solo rendition of "Silent Night," and I'm arranging a version of "I'll Be Home For Christmas," but I can't seem to get them to sound right on a Tele.

Effects aren't my thing, so I usually run clean, but I still can't seem to get a "Christmassy" sound from playing (traditional) Christmas music electrically. Are there songs that work for you? Or certain arrangements that make magic?
