Last night in Houston, Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives performed at the Heights Theater, which is a wonderful venue. The place was sold out packed, I got one of the last standing room only tickets. I only found out about the event yesterday morning.. very lucky. I've been wanting to see Marty and the boys for a long time.

What an amazing show! The real deal in every way, such incredible talent. The whole band was wonderful, a great time had by all. Everybody got to sing a few songs.

As Marty was leaving the stage after the encore, i got to shake his hand... All I could say was "Thank you.. thank you".

Great gear, I stayed and got a few pictures. Clarence was in top form.

Cousin Kenny played several guitars throughout the evening.

They allowed you to get on stage and take pics of the pedalboard?

No, but at the end of the night when the stage crew was starting to pack up, I asked one guy, "Hey can you take my phone and get a picture of Kenny's pedal board for me", which he happily did. Then he took this close up of Clarence too.

Glad you got to see them. I was hoping to go last summer, but it was an outdoor show, rain was threatening, it was a couple hours away, and the wife was disinterested. Didn’t happen. They’ll be back within striking distance this summer; hoping it works out this time.

If only cousin Kenny could play, it would make the show complete. GET AWAY from me with them tar and feathers, I was just making a stupid joke! I agree with my brother-in-law who said Marty puts on the best show he's ever seen. If they come anywhere near me, I'm there! Marty has turned Kenny loose, and lets him shine, I love that he has! Man what a picker. The two together are almost too much to take in. The wonderful thing about the Superlatives is the fact that there ain't a week spoke in that wheel! I'm glad you got to see them BB!!!!

That's what I was going to say! Pretty sparce.

Gosh...maybe tone really IS in the underpants?

I don't know if you got to see them lately, but something definitely happened between the first time I saw them here in town, and the second time I saw them. It was like they put an Isky roller tappet cam in a small block chevy v8 stuffed into a Pinto and poured the fuel to it!

Marty's show has lots of country schtick, right off of Lester Roadhog Moran, but it is backed up with great playing. Them boys can play! Great stuff--seen him a couple of time and it is a pisser show!

We saw Marty a few years back at a small venue, still rates as one of the best shows I've seen. I only own one Marty CD, The Pilgrim (everybody should have a copy) but I was surprised at how many songs I'd heard of his, great catalog. They aren't exactly the rolling stones of country as Marty used to say, but they are the real deal.

My wife & I have seen them 3 times in the past few years. One of our favorite acts to see, always at the top of their game. We'll go whenever they come around.

Where do you think that cable is going to that leads out of input number two on Marty's amp? I'm going in April and can't wait! He used to play the local auction barn near here for the first few years that I lived in my current location, but I was always also playing that night and always missed it.
