My wife and I finally made the long distance move from Maryland to Nashville with the help of some close friends of ours.We finally got moved in on April 9th and and we Love Love our new place,we live out on Elm Hill Pike and it's convenient to everything including downtown.I just landed a house gig every Friday nite at the Music City Bar and Grill off of Music Valley Dr.and it's Classic Country which I dearly LOVE!!! The band has some awesome players and i'm so very very blessed to have landed this gig,my buddy Rod Riley put in the good word for me.Rod has worked with Vern Gosdin,Ricky Van Shelton,Jerry Reed and many many more country greats,he is origionally from Richmond Va. my wife and I have known him for many years now.

If anyone in Nashville want's to hear some Great Classic Country with some good pickin' come on out I promise you'll have a great time we start around 9:30 pm.Make sure you come up and introduce yourself I Love talking guitars and gear.My wife and I got married in Nashville back in 93 and we promised each other we'd be back someday for good,it was well worht the wait.I'm origionally from East Tenn. around Kingsport and I feel like i'm back home again, everyone we've met has welcomed us with open arms. There are some of the best people here you'd ever want to meet and I mean that from the heart, for those of you that have never been to Nashville you need to make the trip at least once in your lifetime I promise you won't regret it :)

I thought I'd add this, that the area where your gig is, is closely watched by the police, for "drunk drivers". That might mean, in this era, you've had three beers. Not to make you nervous; just, be on your guard. Once again, good luck!

That's awesome! Congrats! My first place when I moved to town was just off Elm Hill Pike. I love that area. I've lived on Massman Drive, Lebanon Pike and Stewart's Ferry Pike.

I hope the gig works out for you. Sounds like a lot of fun. Next time I'm over there that late I'll stop by.

Glad it's working out for you. Nashville is a pretty nice southern city, I've visited several times and loved every minute.

If we can ever get back up that way soon I'll be sure to come by and say Howdy.

EDIT: BTW, here's something you Nashville folks might want to look into:

So many youngsters are moving to Nashville to try and get gigs, and a 46 yr-old guy gets a house gig right away. Score one for the older folks. :D

I know that's right !! The thing is, he's probably forgotten more songs and stuff than the younguns will ever know...Nowadays, if it ain't about pickup trucks, beer, tractors or how redneck they are, they don't know it, nor do they care to know it ..

Congrats and God bless to you and the wife DblStop !!!!
