I have finally finished off my Tele P90 assembly/build. I first mentioned it here back in December:

    http://www.tdpri.com/forum/telecaster-discussion-forum/253115-f-hole-purfling-anybody-done.html

I went ahead and bound the f-hole in the months that followed.

    Specs on the guitar are:

Neck - Warmoth Pro, Maple with Pau Ferro fingerboard, 22 fret, 9.5 radius with Gotah truss rod side adjuster and GraphTech nut. GFS Six on a Plate, Vintage tuners.

Body - From Head Guitars, Alder, semi hollow with tummy cut. Painted Ice Blue Metallic on top, Vintage Cream edges and back with creme binding.

    Pickguard - Warmoth creme Tele-Hybrid

    Pickups - GFS, Alnico P90s

Tremolo - GFS Vintage USA Strat w/GFS roller saddles

    Wiring - Four-Way switch mod

Plays nicely and adds a sound to my arsenal that I didn't have. I have to get educated on pickup height for P90s now. The pups on my Epi '56 Gold Top came pretty close to the strings. It sounds great. Going to have to get another layer of foam under the pups on this one to raise them up.

I would think you could use washers and springs under the pickups on the screws that go into the guitar like G. E. Smith does for his body mounted bridge pickup or like a tele neck pickup.

That's some good input. I'll try that.

Nice! I like the colors and how the binding and sides go with the pickup color.

If you were just to describe it in words, I'd probably think I wouldn't like it. However, seeing the picture makes me love it !
