FGN Iliad Owners, pickup change?

Just picked up a FGN Iliad, MIJ telecaster with HBs on the neck. Finally found these locally, A/B it with the fender player and Vintera modified I was eyeing at, a bit better than the vintera but about half the price, no brainer pick for me. For the owners of these guitars? Have you tried changing the pickups? I maybe want to change the pickups, it does sound good as is. Was wondering if regular tele pickups would just drop in.

I have never needed to change them out and I really push mine.
