Im a believer. **** works, believe the hype.

Today I converted my CIJ "Micawbre" and CVC Teles to the 50s mod. Now when I turn the volume down a novel thing happens: the sound is reduced, but its the same sound only 1 smaller.

One thing I realized too is that this mod works for almost every wiring scheme because the whole area/mess involved is all the same. I have a 4 way in one tele, a standard 3-way in another, and a 3-way with in-series in yet another but because the pots and jack are all wired identical the parker mod works for all of them.

yay.

oh and one more thing
not confirmed but I think it helps clean up my tweed deluxe. Ill find out tomorrow when I can crank it.

What mod is this?

Is this the little network on the vol pot so the tone stays consistent as you roll off the gain?

Thanks

no thats a volume kit/treble bleed. (someone correct if im wrong but thats either a .001 cap on the volume or a cap-resistor-cap that smooths the transistion....This you just move the volume wire to the same lug as the jack positive.
I never liked treble bleeds/vol kits as they dont sound right.

This does the same thing but better. Tone stays the same as you turn down basically. and it helps clean up a dirty amp or fuzz.

looks like this

see here it works on all my schemes because they only differ at the switch, the pots and jack are wired the same. Just move that 1 wire and youre golden.

poor mans 4-way (3-way sans parallel)
