    Stupid name.

Pretty neat guitars though. They are covering quite a few bases with the different neck profiles and radii. Can’t make everyone happy.

Cool, but I'd spend a couple extra bucks more and get the classic version with a lacquer finish and a hardshell case.

Like I said. Get one before they bump up the price on those.

Another note, I picked up a 60's Jazzmaster Lacquer with matching headstock, bound neck, block inlays and a hardshell case for the same amount. Seems they are offering a bit less for the same or more money....

This has some explanation of differences... after watching about 15 minutes in it sounds like the pickups are more accurate to their decade (instead of all of them pretty much having the same pickups).

They even mention in the video that the baja is now the 50's tele modified.

Based on the video above they say it is removed from the line and they will show up as special limited runs.

Good point, sounds like a "good" name for a cheap east - european car from the 80's.
I'm waiting for the Fender Trabant.

The Modified Jazzmaster has some good specs

I'm also liking the Bigsby Tele

My only wish would be a Strat trem on the 72 Deluxe Tele

Why does the 50s model come with an alder body? The modified 50s does, hopefully its a typo. I also rather have the big U neck with a 9.5 radius but no biggie. It's a toss up between the surf green modified and the sonic blue. I hope they keep some kind of lacquer option but without the goofy pumpkin orange tint on the neck.

Me too, I'd buy one with a darker PF board, if those exist.

The JM is nice too, but with a "Thin C" neck I'm out. Can't FMIC make a fat necked Jazzmaster? No, the J.Mascis doesn't have a big enough neck...

They look great! Love the idea of having traditional then the modified versions. The 50's Modified tele is literally what i was gonna have built. I just saved a few dollars! These must be replacing the baja and classic player/series

I like this one, but it needs a single ply parchment guard. I'd prefer lacquer too but not that horrible orange tinted stuff.

Yep, but they don't come in surf green with a 9.5" radius. FENDER FAILS AGAIN :p

I think you're right, the Vintera '50s is a renamed Baja '50s. And with the 7.25" neck radius I like even better. I hope to find one soon so I can check it out.

And I'm hoping this may bring down the cost of used Bajas.

My gosh! I thought my stable was set. The Fiesta Red maple board Tele, Butterscotch 50’s tele modified, the Ocean Turquoise Jag with the matching headstock! All look amazing.

And they sure sound great in this demo. Like the Tele pups with dirt a lot!

Edit: I like that they’re offering a “modified” version of these with 9.5” radius and satin back, but they do cost quite a bit more than the player series. And still a poly finish. Still, they look tremendous.
