    Hey folks,

    I love this forum!

As the title is asking, has anyone some experience with the Celestion Alnico Gold 10“ speakers in Fender Tweeds?

How do the perform? Compared to Jensen P10R or Weber 10A100?

Had a 12“ Alnico Blue in my 5E3 and loved it!

    Thanks!

I had a 12" Gold in my 5e3. I found it a bit dark at low volumes, muddy even. At higher volumes it was downright glorious though! I know it's not a direct correlation.

I contemplated Golds for my Bassman Ri... But just don't have the funds.

Oh, and I ended up swapping out the 12" Gold for an Eminence 1228. Love this speaker with my Deluxe. I added two Eminence 1028alks to my Bassman (it had four Jensen P10Rs). Love these speakers. A little warmer than the Jensens and a bit tighter in the bass.

I have a Celestion Creamback 65 and an Eminence 1258 in my '58 Twin. Some day I'll be able to afford a pair of Alnico Creambacks, or a Cream and Gold.
