Thinlines are great. I personally love to mic the guitar itself while in the studio and blend in the acoustic track for depth. A lot of electrics don't give you that option. Here's a pic of my 72 reissue:

I've got 2, if your getting one hoping for a signicantly different sound you might end up a bit disappointed they really are straight up teles besides the lighter semi hollow body and the volume & tone pots which are little more than on /off switches.
The neck pickup does have a bit more of a woody earthy tone to it than a regular tele no matter what pickup is in there, and compared pound for pound w/a solid tele.
All said great looking and sounding guitars and a lot fun. One of the only variations on a straight up telecaster that holds up against it's Grandad.
IMHO of course.

Guess I'll make my first post here. Here's my #1, a walnut beauty with rosewood neck (from Warmoth). (Yes, I should have gone with a vintage pearl or a black pickguard.)

Sorry, it's a custom made pickup by Pete at Vintage Vibe Guitars. This one was modeled off a Seymour Duncan Distortion...and it tears it up with the right OD. There's some more info/sound clips for a couple other custom WRHBs I had him do for my deluxe here: http://www.tdpri.com/forum/just-pickups/158789-vintage-vibe-custom-wide-range-hb-video.html

Here's his info: http://www.vintagevibeguitars.com

Hi all!

I'm a former Thinline owner from PEI, Canada. I used to own a '69 natural finish. I sold it to a guy in Ontario, Canada who was studying at Holland College in Charlottetown, PEI about 7 years ago. I sold it to pay for some oil to keep the house warm during the winter. I really have no idea if this message would ever reach him, but I would like to let him know that he can email anytime to let me know how the ol' girl is playing for him! And if he'd ever like to sell 'er back, that would be great too!

Or if anyone knows of this fella, could you pass along my message!

Cheers,
Brent
