I noticed that I can get a footswitch for my Super Sonic 22.
It would allow me to cut off the reverb and the effects loop.

In the past, I had an amp on which I could switch off the effects loop and it drastically lowered the hiss and noise.

Would I get the same result with the Super Sonic?

    Thanks!

I don't notice any hiss with the effects loop, but I only cut it in (with the footswitch) when I want to use the effects pedals.

I like the footswitch best for channel switching, and for engaging the 'fat' switch.

I used to have a SS22. I recall the op-amp buffered effects loop was very quiet and I didn’t gain any hiss when switching it on. And I didn’t lose any hiss by switching it off. (That was not the case with my SS Twin. That loop was noisy.). YMMV. Great amp.

Agree. The foot switch is very useful for those purposes.
