Four ohm.

Lots of choices, including Weber (Sig 8A, others too), WGS, Jensen, others that escape me. "Best" is subjective. I like my Weber and WGS compared to the stock speaker, but those are the only two I can comment on.

Search around and you'll find lots of discussion here about this.

Weber Sig, as noted, is *extremely* popular in Champs, dead cheap, not too refined -- keeps the Champ vibe. If you want a little more sophistication, their 8A125s are great, but see their notes -- you may need their narrow basket.

Got one in my SF Vibro Champ and I've got no complaints. I'm sure there are spendier and tone-ier options but I'm happy with it. I had a buddy come over the other day and he plugged into the Vibro Champ and said "man, this thing is perfectly balanced, we should use this on the next recording." I reminded him that he used it in the studio 2 years ago. Guess he forgot and it fooled him for his DRRI upon subsequent listens.

PS - mine is the ceramic Sig 8

I haven't tried it yet, but the replacement speaker from Jupiter is supposed to be fantastic.

8A125 fits a SF Champ fine. But you do have to pull the chassis first to install it.

I'll give a recommendation. I am really enjoying the Eminence 820H in mine. I would buy it again.

I have a Jupiter in a Milkman Half Pint and it's quite possibly the best speaker I've heard. Of course it's a slightly different amp.. But it's close enough that I'd definitely recommend it for a Vibro Champ!

I have a Weber 8F150 in my SFVC - a 30 ounce magnet and a 1 1/2" voice coil. It fits right in without removing the chassis, and sounds like a really good 10 incher.

The best speaker I have heard in a Champ is a vintage Jensen P8RS. Big magnet....the Weber 8A125 is probably something comparable. Big cleans with firm low end...great breakup.

Removable baffle or glued in? If it's removable, pull it and install a 10" baffle and fill it with a WGS Veteran 10.
