Heel is rounded like a Strat neck.

    Weird.

Ad has too much enthesis on the box, SN on the back looks blured and not solid black and the finish over it looks like orange peel. Im fairly sure its a scam.

You can actually search the Fender Serial database for replacement necks.

I think it's about as legit as a $13 bill.

Someone can correct me but I’m pretty sure that fender puts the mounting holes in the heel and that one doesn’t have a skunk stripe(don’t think fender offer a maple cap replacement) and the volute on the headstock doesn’t look right , shape looks funny , etc.....
Decal is wrong... string tree?.... etc....

    The box looks right though;)

    I’d stay away

It's so fake...arrange to meet him and not show. Fake your appearance at the sale.

That's what we call a scam 'round these parts.

No way that neck is real. The decal is bad, the serial number is bad, the truss rod hole is bad the over all look is bad. This guy knows exactly what he's doing. This isn't a case of mistaken identity because a friend of a friend sold it to him and told him it's a real Fender. This guy is just out scamming.

Both Fender replacement necks I purchased had mounting holes drilled. Just saying.

We could hire a rental Party Clown to go out there to meet the guy, complete with scary "police" style dragnet and beaucoups photographers. Get the guy to have an accident in his pants right there. Make him think he's about to become an internet sensation ( not in a good way ).

That would be great.. I;d love to do that to some of those guys...

that is obviously one of the 50.00 +- eBay necks the guy bought and had the same reaction any of us would have.. then went ahead an purchased a Genuine Fender part... and used the box as a ploy to make the CL listing more plausible...
