Now that I’ve seen it in the flesh, I can say that Miami Blue makes Cobra Blue seem tasteful. :shudder:
    YMMV...

I like white, lake placid blue, sherwood green, and dark purple on a tele. Yet I got a surf green :) Go figure.

Meh...once you find the right tele for you, the rest seem superfluous and inferior.

once you're addicted to a given guitar, they color is irrelevant.

I like blonde, but my guitar is surf green with a black pickguard.

I like the new line. For me its the little things... the butterfly-ish string tree and tinted necks are small changes that go a long way aesthetically.

Does anyone know if the body is routed to accept a full size humbucker in the neck position?

Haven't seen a stripped American Pro II body for sale yet but I would be pretty surprised if Fender changed the routing away from the neck humbucker/middle Strat-sized single coil/bridge Tele-sized single coil routing that they've used since the late 90s/early 2000s.

I am so traditional I'm boring. Just took delivery of a Butterscotch alder one yesterday. Love the look, plays great, sounds great. No complaints.

Sounds like the same choice as one of the worlds most famous telecaster players - actually, one of the worlds most famous musicians. Must be good.

Do we know what changes were made to the pickups? Fenders says they were updated but still V Mods.

I think they (Marketing) made them twice as good by affixing a "II".
