There’s just something warm and comforting about the predictability.
I think you and I could be friends. -> Back to the guitars - I think this price range is more comfortable for me to consider getting one of the new teles. I have a pine body nashville squier now that I changed out the pickups and had the frets leveled / crowned - it's rivals or bests any tele I've played or owned for a sweet sound. Kind of on the pine band wagon now.
Who knows why Fender marketing, does anything, anymore.
Never meant ill, just in case.
I like looking at the Miami Blue Strat and Jazzmaster, but I can't see myself playing one.
Totally agree. Complete mess. If I want colours like that then I’ll get an Ibanez super strat.
Sherwood green is almost never available on fenders standard models and it’s great. With tinted maple neck and mint guard. I’d be first in line for that
You missed ...
Fender Professional Eye Eye
Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
LOL. Are we being dramatic or what? I'm not sure how I "put him in his place" or "spanked him down to hell". I suggested he educate himself on the meaning of a word, and he comes back with some crap about religion? Can my assumed fact be homophobia much? The world is bigger than you think.
I still miss the American Standard.
I tried the Pros and liked a lot about them but just couldn't get used to tall frets, and the Pro 2 still has them so I won't be buying one.
Still its good to see the terrible new colours, it means I am not missing anything.
For the last few years I keep thinking that the Squiers get better colours/combinations than the Fenders. They need swap their marketing teams.
Ordered myself a Am Pro II Tele in Dark Night from GC. I managed to get quite a bit off. Pretty happy right now. I'll post pics once I get it.
when did fender become so cringe?
Is that Gene Aultry, the singing cowboy? Why, I think it is. YEEEEEEE-HA.
Right around the time that “cringe” caught on as an adjective.
I've said it before...
I really like the AP line; I was considering getting one.
I have sacrificed color choice on my current guitars - they are all burst - and I'm sick of burst.
But these new colors - ick. I'm not getting another color I don't like.
Looks like I'm sticking with what I've got for now.
I think that ugly guitars, often are special and great guitars, so, if I could get a Dark Night tele, which is imo about as ugly as a paint job can be (reverse sunburst..ugh, dark blue and black together..ugh, metallic too..ugh, black pick guard on top of a dark color other than black...double ugh, I think that the great karmic lottery that controls what I like and don't would probably make it so that I loved every other thing about that guitar. But prefer maple necks. That might actually work in my favor too, maybe I'll order one. You can always get a normal tasteful looking tele...what's special about that? Dark night makes Cobra Blue seem tasteful.
Now I like the dark night color - but I would want a maple neck on it. Not a fave, but I do like it. Different strokes.
Bring back candy apple red as a Professional II color.
Give it two years until the AP III comes out and the colors will all be different again.
My 2019 CAR floor model arrived this week and I am floored at the condition for the price I paid (less than an Am Permormer, close to Vintera territory). Apparently nobody demo'd the red one on the sales floor lol. So in this case I am glad Fender rolled over the design so soon because I scored a keeper.
I think the Pro 1 has more going for it imo. In any case, I don't think I can get one because I'm not a pro.
