Yep; it's new. It looks like something between Silverburst and a pearl version of Antigua to me from the photos; I haven't seen any in person yet.

Exactly the colors I would buy...any of them. I have a 1988 Strat + in Pewter, a Mercury Tele would look pretty nice next to it...but so would a Dark Night...or Roasted Pine...or Sienna Sunburst...sigh

Well it does appear to be closer to Silverburst than a pearl Anitgua. Plus I'm thinking of "pristine" - ie. un-yellowed or un-greened - dove-gray Antigua.

The day the II version was revealed I purchased a floor model Candy Apple example of the 'old' model for a deep discount. I was not in the market for a guitar but I'm a sucker for the color and a bargain.

I’m with you on that - I thought EXACTLY the same thing when I saw it.

I'm digging the fact that they've brought back the top loader bridge.

I love the Am Pro series, the Series II doesnt do anything to me.. especially the new colors.. I guess the only Fender that excites me right now is an American Original 60's.. and hopefully a 2 WRHB CuNiFe pickup Tele deluxe soon.. I am also, all Fendered out..

I believe that's Orville Peck, a new country guy. He looks like that all the time.

I've never seen that term applied to his persona or performances and there have been many writeups 'round my parts.

If there was any criticism I could levy at Fender regarding the ad it is that he comes across as more of a performance artist than a guitarist. Still, he's wildly popular and it will surely bring Fender some eyes.

Orville Peck is sort of an icon to certain people for reasons other than music.

The confusion about him being a drag queen is warranted:

"Drag queen" has never been a slur - for the record.

I often rewire my Strats to be master volume and master tone, then use the third tone knob as a spin-on for the neck pickup. That way I can get N+ B which sounds very Tele-ish.

that blue/black ugly sunburst is actually a thing? Too bad the maple necks except for that ugly blue, are pretty tasteful. that dark night is man... that is one ugly finish.

I saw him live last year in Denver. I would say it was a very unusual show. His music isn’t my favorite, but I did like his nice White falcon.

I also purchased a demo model online of the outgoing version, choosing it over a Vintera, American Performer, and a used G&L. I was attracted to the bridge design, neck profile description, and the case as all the others have a gif bag or nothing at all.

I hope it was the right decision, but if it wasn't I can flip it easily considering the price I got was closer to Vintera than American anything.

My only other nice guitar is a G&L Fullerton Standard Legacy which I find is very nice but looked like it was rushed through assembly somewhat. I look forward to comparing the finish and quality when the Tele arrives.

ShWeetwater as that exactly with their FSR Am Pro run. Surf green, rosewood board, roasted neck, jumbo fretss, and custom shop 60's pickups. They are really great looking guitars

I believe you were just in your assessment. You made a statement based on assumed facts and unfortunately thin skinned, easily insulted, can't wait to put you in your place people need to spank you down to hell. What a world... Anyway, Midnight blue is absolutely gorgeous to me.
