Do you mean Princeton Reverb ?
I’ve owned and preferred Princeton’s, PR’s - not so much...
I have the 65 Blackface PRRI and I love it, even with the original speaker and love it. Really nice tone.
Future of the PRRI....
Princeton Twin Reverb!
That is awesome. Does that sound "bigger" than a standard PR / PRRI?
A video with wrong information plus pictures which don't match what is being said, and a pack of wolves.
O.k., makes sense.
BIGGER THAN BEN HUR!
His video follows the name, but the circuit has a slightly different tale.
The first Princeton was a Champ with a tone control. That amp continued until the 6G2 appeared. The circuit of the later Princetons was derived from the Harvard, which morphed into the Tweed Vibrolux. The 6G2 and the Vibrolux have nearly identical circuits, the main difference being that the Vibrato on the Vibrolux was driven by the second half of V1 and in the Brown Princeton it was driven by half of V2.
There was a brief period when the 1962–63 6G10 Harvard was essentially the 5F2 Princeton.
The Blackface Princeton added a Treble and Bass control to the circuit and finally, Reverb was added.
The amp as we know it today actually evolved from the Harvard, not the Tweed Princeton.
A couple of my versions! 6L6's in the second one.
That made me laugh out loud.
