Not to be pedantic, but you say this meets the demand for people wanting a 25.5 scale HH Telecaster....

Hasn’t Fender had that covered now for at least a while now?

They've had it covered, but I am interested in an American made model that has a mahogany neck and body with a rosewood fingerboard.

I like these new Troublemaker models but they are priced a little high. If you watch the video of the NAMM show the fender rep says that these models will be an instant collectors item. They may be true if they don't mass produce them. If they produce relatively small volumes of these models they will probably retain their resale value.

These are limited editions; I don't know how many they are making but they will be something rolled out monthly. I would imagine that it wouldn't be more than 250 of each model (or in the case of the Troublemaker and the "Jazz Tele" 250 in each color) and it might be less. The Troublemaker will be the July model according to this blog post by the Music Zoo (no affiliation but this is the only place I've seen a list with the release months):

They were selling the Crimson Red Limited Edition all mahogany guitars for $2000 when they came out. There are still listings at that price but there are also listings of brand new ones for around $500 less. I guess that means the dealers were not able to move them at the list price? I wonder if the same thing will happen with the Troublemaker?
