Anyone try this yet? Seems like a decent little device for practicing or taking on a trip.
Watched a demo which seemed really stupid because they had sound which should come through the headphones or ear buds. So it seemed like a really fake sounds like this.

Maybe the best $99 I have ever spent. Great little device

I use mine all the time. It has some nice clean tones and a good number of effects, some even in stereo which is pretty nice. I also like to fire up some bluetooth backing tracks from youtube and play along. I like that it is self contained and all the effects are available from the buttons on the device (you don't need to hook up a smartphone app or anything). I recommend it.

Yes it's great to travel with. Best with good headphones, but aux-in on some powered speakers works in casual settings.

Mustang Micro is on the rock in the upper right.

Got mine when they first came out for $99 and use it pretty much every night. Unfortunately Fender has raised the price now to $119. It's still worth it but that's a cheap shot by Fender.

Turns out my favorite guitar is whichever one is plugged into the micro. When I get sick of cans, my computer speakers plug right in and sound ok at low vol. Only snag I've found is if I forget to turn it off it drains the battery.

Question — anyone get pretty audible white noise/hiss with their Mustang Micro? I just got mine yesterday and the noise floor is distractingly high past nine-o-clock on the volume knob. The hiss/noise is a little different on each of the amp models, but it's there nonetheless. Worth trading for a different unit?

Are you on the most recent firmware? Patching the firmware helped my issue (which doesn’t appear to be yours but it’s always a good first step for resolving anything digital)

Nope, mine plays remarkably clean and quiet.

One of the presets in the micro gives me a lot more hiss, but so would the real amp at those settings.

The firmware upgrade fixed a lot of the hiss stutter.

Single coils (and one of my humbuckers for some reason) are noisy in my house when the lights are on (and this also happens with other "amps" besides the Micro) and headphones makes it more obvious.

If I just play, I easily ignore it. If I have a backing track, it's not noticable.

Yeah, I did a firmware update and it didn't seem to change one way or another.

Yeah, it seems like that's the norm, but I've found enough folks that have the noise gate issue (that's what I think it is) that it seems to be a bit of a hit or miss kind of thing. I wonder if it's worth trying again.

Yeah, for me it's all the clean amps that have the hiss, and a lot of the distorted amp models are a bit more quiet. I don't think it's all on the pickups per se, because in addition to the white noise from the Micro I can get that interference you're talking about depending on where I'm at in certain rooms and how I hold my guitar, but it could be a contributing factor to a smaller degree.

I gave it another go today and I could probably live with it, we'll see. It's slightly less noticeable with my Casino vs my Telecaster, but the Tele is the one that I'm more likely to want to play quietly with headphones on for minimal audible volume at home since the Casino is practically an acoustic guitar if you lay into it a bit...

We'll see. I do think it's a cool device. What I think would be rad is if you could easily record via Bluetooth to your phone if you stumble into a cool groove or idea or something. I had the 65 Deluxe and green box with a stereo delay going and was getting some cool tones in there that were somewhere between U2 and Tycho that I wish I could have easily saved somewhere. Oh well!
