They can call it what they like, but it's not a tele without a tele bridge and bridge pickup. Because it won't sound like a tele. Probably still a great guitar, though.

That's the one they did last year, which is nice. The pickups will be a nice combo for many, but not a far departure from a 72 Deluxe Tele. The double P90 thing is what has me excited. I am wondering whether the pickup placement and the mahogany body and neck "approximates" a Gibson LP Special? I realize there are many other important differences between these guitars but the ergonomics of a LP doesn't work for me.

That's why I just bought an Epi SG, ha! ( 2 weeks ago).

( After 35+ years finally bought the right ' Gibson' for a Fender player!)

Oh man I do not need that laying around. But then again I don't have any guitars with P90s...

Ticks boxes for me too, I also got a new 2-P90 SG (Epi also). I do like the offset here though (agree it’s not really a Tele, but nice!)

I’m not really into offset teles but I played one of these mahogany ones in a store and it had a glorious chunky neck, was actually kind of tempting

It looks better than the goofy Fender ' double cutaway' Teles they come out with, sometimes, IMO.

( but I really want the mahogany '69 Tele Thinline RI- next year?!)

I like it a lot, checks a bunch of boxes on my list.
Love offsets & P90s, but just acquired a Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe, which has similar pickups in a more conventional body.

I will trade my MIJ Mahogany for one, anybody up for it PM me. I will put Dynas in both pickup positions :)

    Is Korina a light wood?

That dude’s hair is amazing. Is he related to the cat that does the Aliens videos?

And yes, that is a very cool guitar.
