Gotta say, I kind of dig it.

    Looks cool!

sort of wish they used a “Starcaster” headstock. Looks like a beautifully curved body with a strat neck grafted on. But very slick looking guitar. I’d rock it!

Fano perfected that whole gig 10 years ago.

Fender’s look like the floor-sweep models of the 60’s...

Weird, I’ve always thought that model was ugly as sin. But for some reason, that pic is kinda doing it for me.

Not enough to pay masterbuilt or even custom shop prices...but that looks cool.

^^^^Yeah, like who is the target consumer for this Meaty-aura ?

I know that sometimes products are created and then the buyer is figured out, but a high end version of a Link Wray/dept store guitar ?

Remember all those skinny pants hipsters that were buying up Italian and Japanese bargain guitars from the 60s , maybe 10 or 15 years ago? Don’t those guys all have families now and aren’t really in bands anymore

I’m sure they wouldn’t be in the market for this so who does that leave ?

(And Fender has to lay off the Gretsch-bucker afterthought pickup routine sometime don’t they ? )

It makes me happy when people still use words like neato.

    I think it's aces.

I wonder if people will feel the same about "fo' shizzle" in 30-40 years.

I'll pass unless of course it plays and sounds like the Holy Grail. ;)

Yep, me too. Although my favourite expression of approval is "jam and kippers".

My father was English, so I grew up on kippers and tea. But, jam and kippers? I don't even want to visualize that. :D

the meteora body shape is pretty smart looking. i wish Fender would have done more w. this model in the standard range. if you're thinking about buying that, and you can get it for a decent price, i would definitely jump on it
