NGD?!? Fender Masterbuilt 52 Telecaster Heavy Relic

I had the good fortune of finding a unique, exceptional Fender Custom Shop 52 Telecaster Heavy Relic that is amazing! This may very well be the single best Telecaster I've ever played. I have the good fortune to check it out for final approval. The Fender Masterbuilder is Dale Wilson from the Fender Custom shop.

    • Handwound Josefina Twisted Tele Neck PU
    • Handwound Josefina Broadcaster Bridge PU
    • 7.25" to 9.5" Compound Radius
    • 6105 Frets
    • Heavy Relic
    • Bigsby Tremolo (No Shim since it was master built with all the right angles
    • 7.5lbs with the Bigsby is incredible!!
It plays like a dream and has a resonance and sustain that makes it feel alive when I am fretting notes. Not sure I can afford such a creation, but I am also not sure I can afford to pass it up. Feeling the need to make this one happen no matter what. This is the most authentic-looking Heavy Relic'ing that looks authentic. It feels, looks and sounds like it has been played since 1952!
What do you think? Should I seal the deal ...even if it means stretching myself a bit? I can't remember a more credible, organic, spanky, firey soulful tele.

Another tidbit for you to make that buying decision.

These HAND WOUND Josephina Campos pickups are UNMATCHED.... I have some too and the JC pups are way better than Ybara's ( I have some of these too) at least the ones I have. BUY IT!!

That’s not the Bob Bane signature model is it they made one not to long ago that had that set up probably didn’t have a compound radius though

Anyway looks like a groovy axe

That's the best sounding middle position I've heard.

Wow, that guitar looks and sounds incredible. If you're a Tele-with-a-Bigsby guy, it's hard to believe you'd find a nicer example. Those pickups sound beautiful. The middle and neck positions sound especially good to me, and I liked the bridge sound too.

I like the idea of 7.25 to 9.5 compound neck. I’d like to try one.

    You got to get it!

Sounds like a dream. Go for it, even if you have to let one or two others go.

    I love Bigsbys!!

Great sounding Carr Rambler. The Tele seems like a fine match. 7.5lbs with a Bigsby is impressive.

I’ve looked at one of those myself and been thinking long and hard about getting it. But then I think if I am going to go this route why not for a little more just find a vintage player one. It does sound divine though.

A great Tele for sure: do not let her go, you would have long lasting regrets!

At my favourite guitar shop in France there was another one with a Bigsby for sale, masterbuilt by Kyle McMillin. I did not like the look of it (LPB but with the competition stripes, which I dislike very much), but I remember it was really light too. Did not plug it in, but it played effortlessly.

Thanks for the great support and feedback. I've had to think long and hard because its more money than I've ever spend on a single guitar. It is also the single best sounding Tele I've ever played and its haunting me. ...so I am going to talk to my rep today and work something out if possible. :) More to come. (I've played a few other great Custom Shop Fenders recently that are some of the best I've played and this Dale Wilson Masterbuilt is on another level higher. It really has the soul of a vintage guitar. Built right, looks right, sounds right, feels GREAT ..and is VERY inspiring.
