Got a set of Fender-brand locking tuners on a 1998 American Deluxe strat. Lately, the A tuner has decided not to turn too well, and indeed will not turn far enough to bring the string to pitch.

Sounds broken to me. Any hope for it or is it a replacement job?

I had a look online, but couldn't find anyone selling spare tuners. You may have better luck. If it is broken, then I'm not too sure it can be fixed, as they are sealed units. You may end up buying a whole set.

I haven't tried fleabag, or Reverb though. Has to be someone out there somewhere though.

If the button is turning but the post is not, yeah, I'd suspect something is broken. If the whole thing is seizing up, try removing it and turning it. If that doesn't work, disassemble as much of it as you can and look for the cause of the problem. Perhaps shooting some lubricant inside might help.
