Recently bought a Classic Player Jag and I am really pleased.

To me it retains the good aspects, does away with the less desirable and adds some be features.

    Likes:
    - reduced bridge rattle
    - more sustain
    - easier bending due to bigger frets and 9,5’ radius
    - incredibly tight neck fit

    Dislikes
    - saddle adjustment screws rattle a bit
    - the vibrato placement looks a little off but the mechanical advantage makes it worth it
    - why didn’t the put a treble bleed on it?

The jury is out on the pickups...
Cons: not as pretty sounding as vintage style ones

Pros: sit well in the band mix, fullness makes up for bridge pickup placement and makes strangle switch useful.

The seller had lost the vibrato arm so I haven’t evaluated tuning stability yet. Have feeling it will be fine though.
