he uses a tele and a (i think?) 5e3 or other small fender combo in the studio a bunch. i think he mentioned in some interview that the last however many years the JMs and the marshall stacks are just for the live show. not feelin a 2500 price tag though, screw that.

edit: yeah, “I used a ’59 Vox AC15 and a (Fender) Tweed Deluxe and a Tweed Bandmaster,” at least on i bet on sky until present, though he might have mentioned something before that.

Just got my JMJM and love it.

I only want the neck off one of these. And the purple sparkle. For some reason I was expecting a thin line.

I can’t justify parking $2500 in a new tele. For that price I’d want something more ornate.

For that price Fender better send J Mascis to hand deliver it and hang out at my house for half a day......

Hi.

Holy super expensive thing that can be bought Batman!

And I'm not talking about the Tele either. I just noticed the Squier J. Mascis Jazzmaster is no longer sold in Japan, so, if I wanted one, it would run me the equiv. of about US$1000 - $1450 for an imported one.

Good thing I don't want one.

Cool Tele! It would be funny if this signature guitar is a copy of the guitar he almost always uses but no one ever sees, because he's only using it in the studio.

This may be a really stupid question, but how do we know for sure that the price is in USD? Could it be AUD or CAD as well? We don't know where this leaked image comes from exactly, right?

The fretboard isn't not even straight on my screen. I hope it is a feature, and not a bug.;)

It the guitar is real... I think folks have viewed and thought too quickly to note that it's ~$2,500 AUD: Australian Dollars. Those convert to ~ $1,875 US Dollars which I would use to buy two decent, new Fender Teles instead.

I'm sure that that is list pricing. I'd imagine it's probably priced like the Isbell tele, closer to $1500.
