I would be interested in hearing from our own CuNiFe expert, Telenator.

I wonder if we'll start to see people pulling out the CuNiFe threaded magnets, installing AlNiCo, then reselling the guitar...

Another thought - will we see the bottom fall out of the vintage CuNiFe WRHB market, since they regularly go for upwards of $400 a piece? Hmmmm...

In any case, I have modern WRHBs in my Deluxe Telecaster (Revel Brand) and I like them. I suppose if Fender offers the CuNiFe magnets as a aftermarket part, I could pop them into my pickups and see how they sound compared to AlNiCo.

It looks promising, but it's a humbucker in a modern production fender. If anyone can find a way to make it not sound as good as it could, they are the experts......

They seem to be slowly learning from their mistakes though. Heres hoping...

I always knew that Fender could do this if they really wanted.

I was close to having my neck WR re-done. Glad I waited.

I'm hoping these are available solo.

or maybe they were sitting on a stash from the 70's. I hope not, a lot of customs out there, would love to have that pickup.

I think the guys are right. People are gonna buy the new guitars, rip out the CuNiFes if they're genuine, and install them in their own guitars and "recycle" the rest of the guitar's parts to Stratosphere.

Or, once they become less scarce, people will suddenly decide they're not all that, after all. The new ones' magnets are too strong 'cause they're too new, or something.

And so maybe FMIC will let them out into commerce, in tiny amounts.

Cool all my spare 70's WRHB in the parts stash just went up in value. They don't look to be in the parts section though.

I announced this here back on December 21st. Well, to be fair, it was a rumor then. Today it's a reality. I'd love to snag a pair.
