If it’s the fender brand locking tuners they are probably made by ping in China

    They should be just fine

Or are the ping tuners made elsewhere?

    Either way they are okay

I'm 63 and recently realized there is no flash button on my "smart" phone. Apparently I bought the learning disabled model? But I could post pics if it would help. ;-)

Thanks...pings are fine. I guess the shallers were back in my day. As long as they hold tune and make string changes easier I'm good. Which thanks to post I feel confident they will. Thank you for helping me sir.

Thanks but I will just enjoy playing this wonderful instrument. There is nothing electric you cant do with a tele IMHO.

My American Elite Tele has locking tuners on it. The only identifying markings of any kind on them are the Fender "F" in the middle of the thumbwheel. I have no idea where they were made, or who makes them, but they do work extremely well and they make string changes a breeze.

Thanks! This is a frakentele and I am having a ball learning all the features . My brother made it and left me to discover features. After my acoustic and resonator these 11skinda light and having trouble getting used to narrow electric neck, but it will get plenty of play and I should get used to it I used to play electric. first guitar was SG with Fener tube amp.

Fender has stopped using Schallers since 2012.
So if you bought them new they are Pings.

If your locking tuners have an "F" on the locking wheel they're Pings.

I think the standard Fender machines have the pins in a different position than used on Squier. You may have to make new holes in the headstock for them to work. At least I had to on mine.
