    Hello,
Has anyone tried the 2014 Fender FSR ‘50s Baja Classic Player Telecaster In the Vegas Gold Sparkle finish?
Are they the same as a ‘50s Baja Classic Player?
I read where Fender only made a short run of this guitar for one year.
Not many of these were made and are a Rare find.
What would be a good price if the guitar is in mint condition?
    Thank you

Since the Baja was recently taken out of production, and I've never encountered that finish, it could be rare, but even as nice as they are, the price should be no more than $500. Just my guess.
And I think that all of the 50's versions would be vey similar.

F90A1A50-0BEE-4F7D-AF0E-B5922A5BA99D.jpeg I had one for a couple years; bought it on Reverb used but still had tags on it; paid $650 no case. I let it go in a trade (Guitar Center) over year ago. The twisted tele pickups sounded good and it had the S-1 switch. I had mint green pickguard made for it. The neck was beefy (wide) and would have been more comfortable with rolled edges. Vegas gold sparkle was flawless and looked great. It was on the heavy side at about 8 pounds. I’ve not played other bajas to compare; I enjoyed playing it.

I remember these at the time. Quite a few guys here bought them. USA FAR only, as I tried to buy one at the time, but they got snapped up.

I saw a few at GC when they were released. The gold sparkle finish didn’t appeal to me. All of them were quite heavy. Otherwise, I believe it is a stock Baja.
