Hi,

I have a Fender Frontman 212R amp but it's missing the footswitch. I don't REALLY need it but it's nice to have the option :p. So I was thinking of making one myself. Does anyone have a switch that is compatible with this amp? I can't seem to find any schematic for it. Is this a case of a simple 2 switch pedal hooked up to a stereo cable? Or is there more to it?

It's the same footswitch they use on *everything* including the Hot Rod series, so you can likely find one somewhere cheaper than building one. Here's the schematic:

The amp will want to see the components in the footswitch besides the switches themselves to ensure the proper voltage drop on the rest of the circuit.

Looking at the schematic I already have all of the components at home except possibly a diode or two. So I think I'll just make it and see what happens. I can still buy one if this doesn't work :p.

Thank you :)!

EDIT: Could the 1N4448 be replaced with a 1N4148? Does the Reverse Voltage matter in this case?
