Sadly Fender is intent on making the cheapest foot switches even on top of the line amps.

Is there a ready-made upgrade?

I know some guys just rebuild with more robust switches, Carling's recommended by many. If this best option I'm not all that well versed at matching so if someone knows could they direct me to the proper switches I can drop in?

Thanks!

Carling.
We'd have to know which amp it's for, not all are the same. Vintage? Modern? Model?

Modern Reverb and Tremolo for '64 Princeton.

The tremolo switch is not clicking positively but works so planning ahead!

A Reissue 64? IIRC some Fender reissues use momentary (non crunch) switches...? Seems I read that some PR reissues have "always on" Vibrato that you can just turn off with the knob...? Does that indicate the Vibrato is different than the old ones?
Does anyone know what this model comes with? Those do look like cheap switches.

Are there any good alternatives for the entire pedal? I've seen a bunch advertised but hard to know what's worth it.

It would be interesting to know what switches are in that unit. The literature
simply says ‘high quality’. Have you looked inside to see the switches?
I had to repair one of these switches about 10 years ago and those same looking switches in mine were also Carling switches, just a lower cost version of what came in these foot switches during the BF/SF years.

No idea about the brand of the switches in mine, unfortunately.

Thanks for the look/see, @basher.
I have to think that the simpler Carling switch in the link I gave would be tougher than those DPDT latching switches in that Saturnworks switch, but if one had to have LEDs to indicate the status of the effects, the DPDT is needed.
I personally would not need the LEDs. Ommv.

Here's the one I made for my Blues jr. Fat circuit, all parts from Amazon. 1 jack, 1 switch, a power jack, an indicator light, 1 die-cast box, a few squirts of paint, some rub-off characters & 4 holes to drill. Top mounted jack for space consideration. Just pop the bottom off the stock switch and wire yours the same way Fender did theirs. It was cheaper and easier than doing a new board. The indicator is automotive, but is way too bright on 12v, so I use 9v.
