I know this has been a topic on here before. But I can’t seem to find the answer I’m really looking for. I have a CVR and want to change the speakers as the stock alicos suck. I want it to retain its natural Fender tone. I play mostly lightly overdriven 70s music. Tom Petty style. So I want the jangle in the tone but I don’t want it to shatter my ears with the ice pick treble.

I’ve read that the Rajin Cajun/Copperhead combo is a good one along with 2 Copperheads.

I haven’t seen anyone post that they tried the 10” Cannibus Rex in this amp. Would they be too dark?

    Also first post! Howdy y’all!

    Try using an EQ pedal.

Emi GA SC 64 10" would likely be good. They have paper voice coil formers like some of the old vintage 10's that were so popular. There's a multi year thread on speakers for Vibrolux Reverbs on here somewhere. But everything changed when the GA SC64's came out.
These speakers just have a pleasant "voice". Some speakers can be harsh.

    Welcome.
Few out there. Some of those EMI's you mention are
little more harder edge than the chime you are looking for.
Ya, the emi legends and copperheads, WGS , Webers and Jensens.
Stick on the ceramic side of town for chime.
    imho
