As I recall they had a Texas special in the bridge and a '54 strat neck pickup in the neck.

Don't know about production models, but my masterbuilt CS Clarence came with Abigail wound to '56 specs.

I could see that might be the answer. I wonder how many wires on the ‘54 strat pickup.
