    Hi All,

Have a guitar coming with what was described as Fender Custom Shop 62 pickups. Not sure if they are really just "Custom" or actually called "Custom Shop". Can't really figure that out in my research. I have found a couple things in my own search before I purchased and from what I did hear and read, I liked the overall tone of these pickups. Just throwing this out here now to maybe get some "real time" thoughts from anyone using them presently or have used in the past.

Thanks and hope you are all well!!

Forgot there was a forum just for pickups. Feel free to move.

If it’s the AV62 Tele pickups I like them a lot. Have the original set in my AV62 and put the same bridge pickup in my CVC.

    Very nice pups.

Me too. A favourite. I have them in my AV 62 reissue and the bridge pickup in a couple of builds.

From what I've heard in testimonials and video demos, Fender '62 and '64 pickups are a great find.

The '62s, I believe have A2 magnets and are sweeter sounding. I think the '64s are A5. If I'm off on this, someone feel free to correct me.

They're not "custom", they just have a CS sticker on them.
Not bad old school pickups. Better than the '69's to my ears.

Awesome! Thank you all for your thoughts and knowledge. It sounds like these are well respected pickups and I like what I've heard and read so far.

Oh....and it's a cool looking Tele too :):) Ill post the NGD when it gets here. Haven't seen one like it.
